The California Moving and Storage Association (CMSA) is a non-profit trade association representing over 500 licensed and insured movers operating in California. The CMSA also includes more than 195 associate member companies. Established in 1916, the CMSA is comprised of 12 Chapters strategically located throughout California.

Florida Movers and Warehousemen's Association. FMWA is a non-profit trade association, responsible for educating and protecting members and allies of the moving and storage industry.

The Georgia Movers Association (GaMA) is a trade association representing over 150 member movers within the State of Georgia, providing both local and long distance services. As a condition of membership in GaMA, each member agrees to observe a Code of Ethics committing to provide professional, reliable and safe services at fair and reasonable prices to the Georgia moving public.

Illinois Movers' and Warehousemen's Association, incorporated in its present name in 1953, is the statewide not-for-profit trade association for moving and storage companies licensed to do business in Illinois. Seventy-eight percent of all the licensed movers in Illinois are members of this association. We have been publishing information on the Internet since 1997, both for those needing the services of our membership and for our members.

IHM&W is a not-for-profit trade association serving member companies conducting intrastate and local moving in the State of Indiana. We are the voice of the moving industry in Indiana state government; provide information and support to our members; and, encourage our members to demonstrate integrity, fairness, competence and social responsibility in their daily business transactions and community relations.

The Iowa Motor Truck Association was formed in 1942. The organization was formed because a group of motor carriers felt that Iowa's trucking industry needed a voice at the State Capitol. The organization quickly flourished and has been a respected and recognized association since its inception.

The Kentucky Household Goods Carriers Association (KHGCA) is a not-for-profit trade association representing professional movers within the State of Kentucky, providing both local and long distance services.

LIMSA was organized in 1933 to build consumer confidence in the Long Island moving industry. While descendants of some of the pioneer founding companies still manage moving and storage businesses on Long Island, new companies -- large and small -- become members every year, meeting very high performance standards and as well as LIMSA's strict Code of Ethics.

The Maryland Movers Council (MMC) is a specialized segment of Maryland Motor Truck Association that represents the moving and storage industry. The Council is comprised of more than 50 professional companies that move household or office goods within Maryland and across the country. Many of these companies may also provide storage in a secure warehouse. All members of the Council must be members of MMTA. The Council meets regularly to address industry concerns and create benefits for its members.

Massachusetts Movers AssociationThe Massachusetts Movers Association (MMA) is a non-profit trade association representing the moving and storage industry in Massachusetts and the other New England states. The MMA encourages professionalism and integrity among all its members.

The Michigan Movers Association is a non-profit association that represents movers and service providers. Our goal is to foster, develop and promote the highest standards of conduct and service to the public and to members engaged in the transportation and/or the storage of property. The MMA is committed to bringing together organizations that provide services to our industry with our member moving companies. We believe membership in MMA is enhanced if our members know they can find a full range of service providers through our member network, are kept apprised of moving innovations, and understand regulatory issues that impact the moving industry in Michigan.

The Missouri Movers Association Inc., was incorporated on January 26, 1977. The purpose for organizing the association was to educate and inform members of the current matters dealing with the transportation and warehousing industry. The Missouri Movers Association Inc., is a 501 C6 corporation and has held an annual convention every year since its conception. The Association publishes a monthly newsletter by which it informs its members of issues on a national and state level.
